New Leadership in the Kho Kho Federation of India
The Kho Kho Federation of India has introduced a new leadership team with the aim of promoting and developing Kho Kho both within the country and internationally. The newly appointed body brings together experienced individuals from across India, all committed to strengthening this indigenous sport.
The federation now includes eight Vice Presidents who represent different state associations. These individuals will help shape policies and programs to expand the sport’s reach and ensure fair and inclusive development.

To support the administrative functioning of the federation, four Joint Secretaries have been appointed. Their role will include managing coordination between state units, driving participation in competitions, and helping execute national programs.

These members will support national efforts to promote Kho Kho in schools, colleges, and communities, while also helping organize tournaments and awareness campaigns.
Rajeev Mittal, a former Member of Parliament and sports advocate, has expressed strong support for including Kho Kho in major international sports events. He pointed out that currently fifty-eight countries play Kho Kho, and the goal is to expand this number to ninety nations within the year.
Once this target is achieved, the federation plans to present the sport to the International Olympic Committee. Mittal is optimistic that Kho Kho could be part of the Asian Games in 2030 and even the Olympic Games in 2032.
He emphasized that indigenous Indian sports like Kho Kho deserve a place on the global stage, and the new leadership will work tirelessly to turn this vision into reality.
