Meghalaya is making a fresh push to expand its agriculture-based economy by directly entering India’s biggest commercial market. The state government will organise its first-ever Meghalaya Spice Festival in Mumbai from January 30 to February 1, 2026. The event is aimed at promoting Meghalaya’s premium spices, building strong buyer linkages, and opening new national and export markets for farmers, cooperatives and small enterprises from the state.
