Asian Games gold medal-winning former boxing star Dingko Singh has passed away, battling liver cancer. Manipur-based Dingko Singh won the gold medal for India in the 1998 Asian Games Bangkok, Thailand. He was also bestowed with the Arjuna award in 1998 and the country’s fourth-highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri, in 2013.
