Viksit Bharat Strategy Room Inaugurated at LBSNAA

• The Viksit Bharat Strategy Room (VBSR) was inaugurated at LBSNAA, Mussoorie by NITI Aayog CEO Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, alongside the Use Case Challenge Awards recognizing data-driven governance innovations from Aspirational Districts.
• The Strategy Room serves as a governance hub integrating multi-sector data for real-time planning and decision-making, fostering evidence-based policymaking among officer trainees.
• The Challenge received over 250 submissions addressing themes like health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, social development, and financial inclusion, with 18 districts awarded for scalable solutions.

India’s First Bullet Train to Run by August 2027

• India’s first bullet train is set to become operational by August 2027, as announced by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Mehsana.
• He highlighted Gujarat’s industrial growth, including 2,764 km of new railway lines, and the state’s rise in the semiconductor and electronics sectors.
• The Centre is also collaborating with Gujarat to host 30 Japanese firms, boosting the semiconductor ecosystem.

• India has launched the National Red List Roadmap and Vision 2025–2030 at the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025, marking a major step in species assessment and biodiversity conservation.

Punjabi Actor and Bodybuilder Varinder Ghuman Passes Away at 41

• Renowned Punjabi actor and professional bodybuilder Varinder Singh Ghuman passed away at the age of 41 after suffering a heart attack in a private hospital in Amritsar.
• Ghuman, known as a “vegetarian bodybuilder”, was experiencing shoulder pain before his sudden demise, according to his nephew Amanjot Singh Ghuman.
