Founder of the Paralympics

How did the Paralympics Start?
In 1948, Sir Ludwig Guttmann organized a sports event for injured war veterans at Stroke Mandeville Hospital in England. This event was called the Stroke Mandeville Games. It took place on the same day as the London Olympics and included wheelchair sports like archery.
