India Flags Off First Export of Rose-Scented Litchi from Pathankot to Qatar

In a major boost to India’s horticultural exports, the first consignment of rose-scented litchi from Pathankot, Punjab, was shipped to Doha, Qatar, marking a significant milestone for Indian agriculture. Facilitated by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and the Punjab Horticulture Department, this initiative underlines the government’s commitment to enhancing India’s global fresh fruit market presence. Another half-tonne consignment was also exported to Dubai, UAE, opening new avenues for Indian litchis in the Gulf region.
