In a significant move to strengthen strategic ties, India and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance maritime cooperation by establishing a Joint Working Group (JWG) on shipping and logistics. The decision was formalised during a high-level virtual meeting on August 20, 2025, between India’s Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser.
