In a transformative leap for India’s quantum technology landscape, Andhra Pradesh will host the country’s first Quantum Computing Valley in Amaravati by January 2026, announced Katamneni Bhaskar, Secretary, ITE&C, during a high-profile workshop in Vijayawada. The upcoming Amaravati Quantum Valley Tech Park will function as a national innovation hub, aligning with the goals of the National Quantum Mission (NQM) and enabling a wide range of sectors—from healthcare to agri-tech—to harness the power of quantum computing for societal and industrial advancement.

The announcement was made at a workshop on Amaravati Quantum Valley in Vijayawada on June 25, 2025, where top experts including National Quantum Mission Member Anil Prabhakar, IBM Research India Director Amit Singhee, and LTIMindtree Principal Director A. Vijay Rao discussed the project’s national significance and alignment with global advancements in quantum technologies.
