National Safe Motherhood Day 2026: Why Maternal Health Is a National Priority

National Safe Motherhood Day is observed across the India on the 11th of April every year. This day emphasized the importance of the maternal health, safe pregnancy and the quality childbirth care. It also recognizing its importance the Government of India declared this day in the year 2003 and making India as one of the first countries to dedicate the  national day to maternal health awareness.
