With 450 e-buses currently in operation, the state plans to more than double its fleet in the coming years as part of its clean transport initiative. This move aligns with India’s broader efforts to promote eco-friendly urban transport under central government support schemes.

These upgrades aim to deliver seamless, dignified, and commuter-friendly urban mobility, said Housing & Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra.
