Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has achieved a milestone by becoming the first state in the country to issue five crore Ayushman cards. This accomplishment underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of every citizen.
Impressive Statistics Reflecting Progress
The state of Uttar Pradesh has issued 50,017,920 Ayushman cards, benefiting 74,382,304 individuals. This achievement is further highlighted by the fact that 3,716 hospitals in the state are empaneled under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Moreover, a total of 3,481,252 health claims have been filed, with a settlement rate of 92.48 percent.
Ayodhya’s Contribution to Healthcare Access
In Ayodhya, the city of Lord Shri Ram, 837,700 Ayushman cards have been issued to beneficiaries. This demonstrates the reach and impact of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in both urban and rural areas. With 19 private hospitals and 16 government hospitals in the district providing the benefits of this scheme, residents of Ayodhya have enhanced access to healthcare services.
Community Efforts Towards Healthcare Accessibility
Panchayat assistants, Kotedars, and Asha workers play a crucial role in facilitating the creation of Ayushman cards for residents through door-to-door visits. Additionally, eligible beneficiaries can obtain their cards at the Gram Panchayat Bhawan within their villages. These community-driven efforts have contributed to the success of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Uttar Pradesh.
