External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is set to confer the esteemed title of ‘Global Jain Peace Ambassador’ upon Acharya Lokesh Muni. The ceremony, scheduled to take place in Karnataka, will be organized by the Jain pilgrim center, Navagraha Tirtha Kshetra, in Hubli Varur.

Travelling extensively across India, covering 20,000 kilometers, Acharya Lokesh Muni has been actively involved in raising awareness against social evils.

Born on April 17, 1961, in Pachpadra City, Acharya Lokesh Muni has pursued in-depth studies in Jain, Buddhist, Vedic, and other Indian and foreign philosophies. Proficient in several languages including Sanskrit, Hindi, Prakrit, English, and Gujarati, he has authored numerous books on diverse subjects. His remarkable contributions have garnered widespread recognition, including the ‘Ethical Honour’ from Gulzarilal Nanda Foundation in 2006, the National Communal Harmony Award from the Government of India in 2010, the Ambassador of Peace Award from the United Nations in 2014, and the ‘Keys of Milpitas City’ by the Mayor of Milpitas California Hoze Astawish.
