Reaffirming his government’s commitment to workers’ welfare and civic responsibility, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on August 23, 2025, announced a comprehensive insurance scheme for municipal workers. Under this initiative, municipal staff will receive ₹1 crore life cover, while outsourced workers’ families will be entitled to ₹20 lakh in case of accidental death. The scheme was launched during the Swachh Andhra–Swarna Andhra campaign in Peddapuram, Kakinada district.
