Asian Games 2026 Day 10: India Medal Winners, Results and Medal Tally

On Day 10, India secure yet another successful medal haul at the Asian Games 2026 as India secured eight medals including two gold, one silver, and five bronze on Day 10. Shooting and athletics were the focus for Day 10 with Neeru Dhanda bagging India’s fifth gold at the 2026 Asian Games in women’s trap and women’s 4x400m relay team winning India’s first gold in athletics.

Neeru Dhanda outscored all others in the women’s trap individual final to clinch gold with a record score of 28 out of 30 shots fired. Earlier Dhanda, Aashima Ahlawat and Manisha Keer had won silver medal in the women’s trap team event.

Athletics contributed four medals with India’s women winning 4x400m relay gold medal while Gulveer Singh won bronze medal in men’s 5000m run, Pooja Singh clinched bronze medal in women’s high jump and mixed 4x100m relay and men’s 4x400m relay teams also made it to the podium.

Boxing added yet another bronze medal via Narender Berwal, while Parveen Hooda and Ankush Panghal qualified for the finals.

At the end of Day 10, India collected 53 medals – six gold, 21 silver and 26 bronze and placed themselves in 10th position overall.

Neeru Dhanda – Gold, Women’s Trap Individual

Neeru Dhanda turned out to be one of the most successful shooters of India at the Aichi-Nagoya games by clinching gold in the women’s individual trap.

The Indian competitor scored 28 points out of 30 points during her final round, thus establishing an Asian Games record. She also became the first Indian woman to claim an individual Asian Games gold in the trap competition.

Her gold was the fifth gold of India at the Asian Games and the first individual shooting gold of the edition of the tournament.

India Women’s 4x400m Relay Team – Gold

India claimed its first athletics gold of the Asian Games 2026 when the women’s 4x400m relay team of Kiran, Prachi Choudhary, MR Poovamma, and Vithya Ramraj finished first with the result of 3:29.69.

Bahrain bagged the silver medal with the time of 3:30.21 and China grabbed the bronze medal with the time of 3:31.02.

India Women’s Trap Team – Silver

The Indian women’s trap team comprising Neeru Dhanda, Aashima Ahlawat and Manisha Keer won the silver medal. The Indian team won with 328 points. They were beaten by the Chinese team which won the gold medal with 346 points. Kuwait got the bronze medal with 325 points.

Narender Berwal – Bronze in Men’s +90kg Boxing

Narender Berwal won the bronze medal in the men’s +90kg boxing category. Narender was defeated in the semi-final match against the reigning world champion Aibek Oralbay of Kazakhstan.

Gulveer Singh – Bronze, Men’s 5000m Race

Gulveer Singh earned another medal to add to his impressive performance at the Asian Games as he won bronze in the men’s 5000m race in 13:32.75.

Bahrain’s Birhanu Balew was the gold medallist, finishing in 13:30.79, with silver going to Japan’s Tomonori Yamaguchi in 13:31.43.

Gulveer Singh had earlier won two medals – a silver each in the 10,000m and 1500m races, which made his 5000m bronze his third medal of the event.

Pooja Singh – Bronze, Women’s High Jump

Pooja Singh cleared 1.84m in the women’s high jump competition to win the bronze medal.

The 19-year-old Indian athlete won another medal in the field events of athletics on Day 10 of the Asian Games.

India 4x100m Mixed Relay – Bronze

India earned a bronze medal in the 4x100m mixed relay with a season’s best timing of 41.06 seconds.

The India team comprising Gurindervir Singh, Sneha Sathyanarayana, Animesh Kujur and Harita Bhadra won the bronze medal by finishing third after China and Thailand. This was the debut event for Asian Games.

India Men’s 4x400m Relay – Bronze

India completed its athletics participation with a bronze medal in the men’s 4x400m relay.

The team of Vishal TK, Dharamveer Choudhary, Jay Kumar and T Manu finished third with a timing of 3:01.61. Japan won gold in 3:00.75 and Qatar won silver in 3:00.93.

Boxing: India Ensures More Medals

Parveen Hooda – Women’s 65kg Final

Parveen Hooda won against Li Shu of China in the women’s 65kg semi-final and qualifies for the gold medal match.

Parveen took the first round 3-2 and dominated the second round 5-0 to win. She will be competing against Chen Nien-chin from Chinese Taipei in the final.

Ankush Panghal -Men’s 80kg Final

Ankush Panghal put up an impressive fight against Uzbekistan’s defending world champion Fazliddin Erkinboev in the men’s 80kg semi-final.

After falling in the first round 1-4, Ankush won the second round 3-2 and dominated the third round 5-0 to qualify for the final, where he will compete against Kim Min-Seong of South Korea.

India’s boxing team has secured six medals at the Games, ensuring more than India’s previous medal count in Asian Games Boxing of four medals.

Men’s Volleyball

In men’s volleyball, India staged an amazing comeback against Qatar winning 3-2 despite going down 0-2 in the game.

India was losing 26-28 and 25-27 in the initial sets but made a turnaround to win the next three sets 25-23, 25-20 and 24-22.

It helped India complete an unbeaten record in the group stages, having defeated Vietnam and Hong Kong, China before. India qualified for the quarter-finals.

Women’s Squash

India’s women’s squash team completed 3-0 win against Iran to qualify for quarter-finals with this Pool C win.

Tanvi Khanna, Anahat Singh and Joshna Chinappa have been scoring wins for India. The next round for India would be against Singapore.

Archery: India Does Well in Recurve Tournaments

It was a good day for India in the recurve tournaments.

Dhiraj Bommadevara, Neeraj Chauhan, and Kumkum Mohod Anil all made it to the quarter-finals stage.

Neeraj Chauhan achieved a commendable feat when he beat Kim Je Deok of South Korea, an Olympic triple gold medal winner, 6-4 in the Round of 16.

Bommadevara beat Cheng Hsiang-Hui of Chinese Taipei 6-2, and Kumkum Mohod Anil beat Saima Salah Uddin of Bangladesh 6-0.
