Cabinet Green Signal For The Pune Metro Rail Project Phase-2

The Union Cabinet has approved Phase-2 of the Pune Metro Rail Project, giving the green light to Line 4 (Kharadi–Hadapsar–Swargate–Khadakwasla) and Line 4A (Nal Stop–Warje–Manik Baug). These corridors aim to enhance city-wide metro connectivity, reduce road congestion, and promote green, affordable, and efficient travel options for lakhs of Pune residents.

Line 4 and Line 4A are part of the second phase of Pune Metro’s expansion,

  • Line 4 will run from Kharadi to Khadakwasla, passing through key zones like Hadapsar and Swargate.
  • Line 4A is a spur route connecting Nal Stop to Warje and Manik Baug.
