In a significant step toward sustainability and energy self-reliance, the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to develop solar-based renewable energy projects across its establishments. The collaboration focuses on establishing Net-Zero campuses and enhancing India’s green energy initiatives by 2027.
DRDO-SECI Collaboration on Solar Projects
- MoU Signing: The MoU was signed between DRDO (Ministry of Defence) and SECI (Ministry of New & Renewable Energy) at DRDO Bhawan, New Delhi.
- Objective: To develop 300 MW capacity of solar power projects across DRDO establishments nationwide.
- Goal: Establish self-reliant, Net-Zero campuses at all strategic DRDO locations by 2027

- Features standardized interfaces, APIs, execution environments, and waveform portability mechanisms.
