The country received three individual awards for three players who played key roles in Spain’s phenomenal performance in the World Cup.
Spain won not only the tournament, but it has also recorded only one goal conceded during the whole tournament, breaking the record for the least number of goals.
The awards were due to Spain’s terrific balance of defensive strength, midfield control, and tactical discipline under the leadership of coach Luis de la Fuente.
Rodri Secures Adidas Golden Ball
Spanish footballer Rodri awarded adidas Golden Ball for being the top player of the competition.
Rodri performed exceptionally throughout the competition. His excellent skills in ball control, accurate passing, alert defence, and great leadership were on show in all the eight games Spain played in the tournament.

Simón set an exceptional record for being without conceding a goal for around 650 minutes, emphasising the dominance of the Spanish defence in this tournament.
Pau Cubarsí Named FIFA Best Young Player
One of the brightest stars of the FIFA World Cup was Pau Cubarsí, defender of Spain, who received the FIFA Best Young Player Award from Aramco Company.
Despite being very young, Cubarsí showed excellent maturity, poise and tactical awareness in defence.
He was an instrumental player of the defence in the Spanish team, because they only conceded one goal during the tournament.
The award only proves that Cubarsí is one of the best young defenders in the world in football.
Netherlands Receives FIFA Good Behavior Award
The FIFA Good Behavior Award given by McDonald’s was awarded to the Netherlands.
The winning team is recognized for its discipline, sportsmanship and respect towards others during the tournament.
This award is another indication of FIFA’s commitment to principles of the good behavior along with competition success.
