She embarked on her educational journey at the DeMontmorency College of Dentistry in Lahore, where she was the only female among 30 students. Her perseverance paid off, as she graduated from the University of the Punjab in 1944, marking the beginning of a remarkable career.

To further her knowledge and skills, Vimla Sood ventured to New York, where she undertook an internship and explored dental practices across America. Her thirst for knowledge led her to earn a master’s degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 1955 from the University of Minnesota.
