GMR Airports to develop & operate airport in Andhra Pradesh

GMR Airports Limited will develop & operate Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh. Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued a “Letter of Award” (LoA) to GMR Airports Limited for the development of greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram.

The project of the greenfield International Airport at Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh involves its design, build, finance, construction, development, up-gradation, modernization, operation and maintenance for 40 years, which will be extendable by additional 20 years.

On a public-private partnership basis, GMR Airports Limited emerged as the highest bidder for project in February 2019. GMR Airports Limited is the subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure.
