The Government of India has launched Kisan Credit Card (KCC) campaign for 1.5 crore Dairy Farmers. Under this campaign, GoI will provide Kisan Credit Card to 1.5 crore dairy farmers within the next two months i.e. from 1st June to 31st July 2020. KCC will be provided to those Dairy Farmers who belongs to the Milk Unions and Milk producing Companies.
In the first phase of this campaign, the Government of India is planning to cover all farmers who are members of dairy cooperative societies and associated with different Milk Unions and who do not have KCC.

About the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) for Dairy Farmers:
- The general limit for KCC credit without collateral would be Rs. 1.6 lakh.
- The farmers whose milk is procured directly by the Milk Unions will fall under the tie up arrangements between the producers and processing units without any intermediaries. The credit limits for these farmers without Collateral can be upto Rs. 3 lakh.
Hence, the special drive which has been launched as a part of Prime Minister’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan to provide Kisan Credit Card to Dairy Farmers will ensure more credit availability for dairy farmers associated with Milk Unions as well as assuring repayment of loans to banks.
