India At Asian Games 2026: Day 4 Medal Winners and Results

India made its move again at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Wednesday, September 23. India won its first gold medal via the women’s cricket team on Day 3. The country began Day 4 with the tally of one gold, four silver, and two bronze medals.

The sport of shooting was amongst those that would contribute to a medal for India once more, but Manu Bhaker could not make it onto the podium as she finished fifth in the women’s 10m air pistol final. India made another historical medal via soft tennis, wushu, and table tennis.

Bronze Medal for India on the Fourth Day of Competition

Raiza Dhillon, Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Maheshwari Chauhan – Bronze, Women’s Skeet Team

India’s Raiza Dhillon, Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Maheshwari Chauhan have won bronze medals in women’s skeet team category.

The Indian athletes have recorded a total score of 331 in the competition. While Raiza and Parinaaz have scored 111 points each in their respective categories, Maheshwari scored 109 points.

China bagged the gold medal in the category with 346 points, whereas Kazakhstan won silver. This victory earned India one more shooting medal in Asian Games 2026.

Manu Bhaker Ends Fifth in 10m Air Pistol Final

Indian shooter Manu Bhaker has qualified for the women’s 10m air pistol final as she ranked third in qualification round with 579-20x.

Though she was in the medal positions in the final round, she ended fifth in the final after shot 18 with a total score of 181.1 points.

Choo Gaeun of South Korea won gold with an Asian record of 246.3. Chinese athletes, Shen Yiyao (241.3) and Jiang Ranxin (221.6), bagged silver and bronze respectively.

Jay Meena Creates History in Soft Tennis

India won a historic medal in soft tennis as Jay Meena defeated Sherwin Nuguit from Philippines 4-3 in the men’s singles quarterfinals.

Meena won the closely fought game 0-4, 4-2, 2-4, 5-3, 2-4, 7-5 and has qualified for the semis. With his win, he ensures that India wins its first-ever medal in soft tennis at the Asian Games.

India Performs Well in Wushu and Table Tennis

Roshibina Devi of India qualified for the women’s 60kg wushu quarterfinals after beating Most Khatun from Bangladesh in a Win By Point Difference match.

Aryan also qualified for the men’s 56kg wushu quarterfinals after winning against Shahzada Safi from Afghanistan 2-0.

In table tennis mixed doubles category, Manush Shah and Diya Chitale defeated Chanul Kulappuwawadu and Bimandee Swarna from Sri Lanka 3-0.

• Fencing: Mina Devi Naorem was beaten by South Korea’s Park Jihee 3-15 in the Round of 32 of Women Foil Individual event.
• Badminton: The Indian team for the men will continue its efforts in their bid for the gold medal.
• Sepaktakraw: India managed to beat the Philippines 2-1 but did not make it into the semifinals of men’s team regu.
• Rowing: Balraj Panwar secured a place in the men’s singles sculls Final A.
• Rowing: Satnam Singh and Salman Khan made it to the men’s double sculls Final A.
• Canoe Sprint: Parvathy Geetha and Phairembam Soniya Devi managed to advance to the semifinal of the women’s kayak double 500m.
• Swimming: Aneesh Sunil and Vedaant Madhavan could not qualify for the final of the men’s 200m freestyle.
• Swimming: Srihari Nataraj had taken 10th place in the men’s 50m backstroke final.
• Women’s Kabaddi: At halftime India led Iran 19-15 in the Group A match.
