India’s Asian Games Cricket History
There have been several editions of the Asian Games that include cricket among their disciplines for both the men’s and women’s events.
In the year 2023, the men’s team of India won the gold medal in cricket in the Asian Games after winning on account of its superior T20I ranking as the match between India and Afghanistan was abandoned due to rains.
Thus, the year 2026 gives India yet another gold medal in the men’s cricket event of the Asian Games.
Moreover, the significance of the match in 2026 lies in the fact that it is contested by India and Pakistan.
