Indian Army Inducts First Batch of Apache Helicopters from the United States

The Indian Army has officially received its first batch of Apache AH-64E attack helicopters from the United States. This induction marks a significant step in enhancing the Army Aviation Corps’ operational firepower and aligns with India’s broader defense modernization agenda.

Background

The Apache AH-64E is a combat-proven multi-role attack helicopter developed by Boeing. The Indian Air Force inducted Apaches in 2019, but this is the first induction for the Indian Army.
