Rakesh Mohan Joshi, an international trade and management expert, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), a prestigious business school under the Ministry of Commerce.
New Leadership at IIFT
On Wednesday, Joshi took charge as the Vice-Chancellor of IIFT, a renowned institution dedicated to international trade and management education. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Dean of IIFT and was on deputation to the Indian Institute of Plantation Management in Bengaluru as its Director.
In a statement released by IIFT, the institute proudly announced, “Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi takes over as Vice-Chancellor of IIFT.”

Prof. Joshi has an impressive academic background, having received his education and training from prestigious institutions such as the Harvard Business School in Boston, IIFT, Rajasthan University, and the National Dairy Research Institute in Karnal.
His expertise has been widely recognized, leading to his association with several multilateral organizations, including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, UNCTAD, the International Dairy Federation, and the Asian Productivity Organisation, among others.
