In a significant step towards building a future-ready workforce for India’s fast-growing logistics and transport sector, Europe’s largest software maker SAP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV). The partnership aims to digitally skill professionals and integrate cutting-edge logistics solutions into the education framework.
Key Pillars of the Partnership
The MoU is structured around three major focus areas, Employment Enablement, GSV-trained graduates and postgraduates will gain industry-relevant digital logistics skills and The goal is to bridge the gap between academic training and employer needs.
Curriculum Enhancement & Capacity Building
SAP’s digital logistics tools will be embedded into GSV’s learning modules. Training will extend to students and government professionals, ensuring practical, real-world readiness.
Industry Linkages for R&D and Employment
Fostering research and development in digital logistics and transport. Strengthening industry-academia collaboration to boost national logistics efficiency.

SAP Labs India Expansion
Coinciding with the MoU, SAP Labs India inaugurated its second campus in Bengaluru. This move reinforces SAP’s long-term commitment to India as a global technology and innovation hub. India has moved from being the 11th largest economy to being on track for the third largest position globally. Electronics exports have increased eightfold in the past 11 years. Production of the first Made-in-India semiconductor chip will begin soon.
