More About The SBI’s donation of ₹48 lakh for tree plantation:

An MOU has been signed between SBI, Garden City University, and the Eco Foundation for the successful implementation of this project. The plantation project at Garden City University in Bengaluru, is being implemented using the Miyawaki Technique. Developed by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, this technique involves creating dense, native forests that grow 10 times faster and are 30 times denser than usual.

Plants grown using this technique become self-sustaining within 2-3 years and the multi-layered forests help lower temperatures, improve soil quality, support local wildlife, and sequester carbon.
