Mr. Dilip Kumar has assumed the charge as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) on the 27th April, 2026. His appointment will marks the important step to strengthen the vigilance, transparency and accountability within the India’s one of the largest public sector enterprises.

Dilip Kumar is the senior officer from the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) and he will brings the over two decades of experience in the,

- Rolling stock maintenance
- Human resource management
He has also held the several crucial positions in the Indian Railways and it includes the Additional Divisional Railway Manager in East Central Railway and Chief Workshop Manager at Harnaut (Bihar).

- The development of the first ISO 9001 certified train in the East Central Railway section.
