Educational Background

The military education of Major Sambyal started with training for induction in the army.

Major Sambyal did his schooling at Sainik School, Kapurthala where he obtained an academic education along with physical training and defense-based training. He then did his training for the NDA examination at Lakshya Defense Academy, Jammu.

NDA and SSB

Sambyal cleared the UPSC NDA examination in 2013. He was called upon by the Services Selection Board (SSB) and selected in February 2014.

Sambyal then did his NDA training at the National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune where he got intensive training on academic and military fronts.

After finishing NDA training from 2014 to 2017, he joined the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun for further training.

He was commissioned as a Lieutenant in 2018.

Parade for Republic Day Accomplishment

One of the outstanding accomplishments achieved by Sambyal happened during the Republic Day Parade in 2021.

In his capacity as Captain, he was in charge of the Jat Regiment contingent that won the Best Marching Contingent Trophy. The contingent was later felicitated by the Defense Minister, Rajnath Singh.

It marked one of his accomplishments before he proceeded to Special Forces.

After his stint at the regiment, Sambyal enlisted and qualified to be a member of the special force known as 4 Para Special Forces, commonly referred to as Daggers.
