Bihar Launches Vidya Sathi App for 3 Lakh Students

The Bihar Vidya Sathi mobile application has been introduced to offer continuous academic assistance to more than 3 lakh students studying in Classes 9 to 12 in 700 model schools of all 38 districts in the state. The free online portal enables learning through live teacher interaction, personalized academic guidance, and digital study material even outside classroom timings. The project not only helps in providing quality education but will also assist students in preparing for Bihar Board exams and entrance exams like JEE and NEET.

Bihar Vidya Sathi App Overview

Vidya Sathi is an online learning application which aims at supplementing class room education in the Saraswati Vidya Niketan model schools of Bihar.

The students can interact with teachers who can guide them in solving their academic queries. It is meant to provide assistance to the students and not a substitute for traditional form of class room education.

This project is being launched in about 700 Saraswati Vidya Niketan model schools located in all 38 districts.

3 Lakh Students To Be Benefited

It will cater to approximately 3 lakh students studying in Class 9 to 12th.

Some of the salient features include the personal interface with the teachers. Students will be able to choose teachers according to their academic needs and communicate in one-on-one academic sessions.

About 75,000 teachers are expected to assist academically through this programme.

Classes 9 & 10 Support

Students from Class 9 and Class 10 can avail of academic help in all subjects.

Live teacher assistance will allow the student to clear any doubts that he/she may have related to the subject, lesson revision, and get additional teaching besides their classroom studies. This can be really helpful for those students who need more explanation and are willing to review the lesson after school hours.

JEE & NEET Preparation

Another special feature of this online education system is its emphasis on science students of Class 11 and 12.

Besides live classes, the students will also be provided with digital learning material for Bihar Board exams as well as JEE and NEET preparation.
