Respectable Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched the major public safety initiative by flagging off a new fleet of advanced Dial 112 emergency response vehicles and the modern forensic mobile vans in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This upgraded system now expands from the 16 districts to all 33 districts of the state.

A major upgrade has come to the Chhattisgarh’s emergency response infrastructure.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched the modern emergency vehicle fleet at a state level event in Raipur.

also presented along with the Home Minister.
Dial 112 Service Now Covers All 33 Districts
The Dial 112 Service now expanded across the entire state of Chhattisgarh. Earlier, this emergency response service was available in only 16 districts.
Now, this service has been extended to all the 33 districts of Chhattisgarh.
This means that citizens across the entire state can access faster emergency support.
The expansion is also expected to improve the response times significantly.
Flags Off Massive Emergency Vehicle Fleet
A large fleet of the emergency vehicles was launched during the event.
The deployment includes the,
- 400 advanced emergency response vehicles
- 33 surveillance vehicles
- 60 highway patrol vehicles
These vehicles will be deployed in the different districts of the state and their main goal is to improve the real time emergency handling.
AI Technology Added to Dial 112 System
A major technology upgradation also featured in the new fleet.
The emergency service now includes the Artificial Intelligence-based location tracking.
This feature will help the emergency teams identify the exact location of people who are in a distress.
This can reduce the delays in reaching accident sites or emergency situations.
The faster location tracking will provides the quicker action and which can save the many lives.
What Is Dial 112?
Dial 112 is the India’s integrated emergency response number.
It is designed to provide the citizens with a single access point for emergency assistance.
The service connects people to the,
- Police
- Fire services
- Medical emergency response
- Disaster assistance
It functions similarly to the emergency systems which are used internationally such as the 911 or 112 services in other countries.
