Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, will launch the BHARATPOL portal developed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on January 7, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The portal aims to facilitate real-time international police assistance and enhance India’s efforts to combat transnational crimes. Developed by the CBI, which acts as the National Central Bureau (NCB) for INTERPOL in India, the portal will improve communication between law enforcement agencies (LEAs) across India and INTERPOL.
The launch is part of the central government’s initiatives to strengthen law enforcement agencies under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shri Amit Shah will also present Police Medals to 35 CBI officers/officials during the event.
