Andhra SIPB Clears ₹53,922 Crore Investments, 83,000+ Jobs

The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) of Andhra Pradesh, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved 30 new investment projects worth ₹53,922 crore at its 10th meeting on 28 August 2025. These projects are expected to generate 83,437 new jobs, reaffirming Andhra Pradesh’s position as a leading hub for industrial and infrastructure growth.

Major Investment Approvals

The cleared projects span diverse sectors, including renewable energy, automotive, telecom, and green technology. Notable approvals include,

  • HFCL (Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd.) – ₹1,197 crore investment at Madakasira
  • Apollo Tyres – ₹1,100 crore project in Chittoor district
  • Dhirubhai Ambani Green Tech Park – ₹1,843 crore at Krishnapatnam
  • Serentika Renewables of India – ₹2,000 crore project in Anantapur

These large-scale projects will not only create employment but also boost industrial infrastructure across the state.

CM Naidu’s Focus Areas

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stressed that he would personally monitor project implementation to ensure timely completion. His directives emphasized,

  • Ease of Doing Business: Ensuring smooth approvals and clearances for investors.
  • Electric Mobility: Efforts underway to bring a Mahindra EV plant to Andhra Pradesh.
  • Food Processing Industry: Highlighted significant potential, with a focus on horticulture in Chittoor and Rayalaseema and mango processing in Chittoor district.
  • MSME Development: Proposal to establish MSME parks in every assembly constituency as local business hubs.

Economic and Employment Impact

The approved projects collectively aim to,

  • Create 83,437 jobs for youth in Andhra Pradesh
  • Strengthen renewable energy and green technology capacity
  • Enhance manufacturing capabilities in sectors like tyres, telecom, and EVs
  • Provide long-term support to farmers through food processing and horticulture-linked industries
