Hurun India Most Valuable Family Businesses 2026: Check Top-10 List Here

The 2026 Barclays Private Clients Hurun India Most Valuable Family Business List reveals the scale of India’s family business groupings. As per the report, the 300 most valuable family businesses of India have a combined valuation of Rs 138 lakh crore ($1.46 trillion).

This figure shows an increase ofaround Rs 30 lakh crore in the last two years, translating to an impressive growth of 27.5% from 2024. Furthermore, the report states that the businesses gained Rs 4,076 crore in value on a daily basis in the period under review.

As per valuation, their total value is now equivalent to that of the 18th largest economy in the world and greater than that of nations such as Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Poland and the Netherlands.

Ambani Family Claims No. 1 Rank in 2026 Hurun India List

The Ambani family, known for its Reliance Industries company, has claimed the No. 1 spot in the 2026 Hurun India List.

Valued at Rs 25,82,800 crore, the Ambani family business leads the pack on this list.

Among the sectors of interest of Reliance, energy, telecommunications, retail, financial services, media and entertainment, consumer products and transportation and logistics are notable.

The Ambani family has established a massive family business enterprise and hence dominates the list of most valuable family businesses in India.

Birla Family Takes the Second Place

In the second place, there is the Birla family, whose Aditya Birla Group is worth Rs 8,13,700 crore.

Aditya Birla Group is diverse in terms of its portfolio in metals and mining, cement, financial services, real estate, textiles, retail, telecommunication, jewellery and entertainment industry.

There is a big gap between the first and second places since the business value of the Ambani family is more than thrice that of the Birla family.

Third Place is Held by Jindal Family

The Jindal family, which owns JSW Steel, has secured third place with a value of Rs 8,01,800 crore.

Following the Jindal family is the Bajaj family, whose diversified Bajaj Group has secured fourth place with a value of Rs 7,70,400 crore.

The last among the top five is the Mahindra family. The association of the Mahindra family with Mahindra & Mahindra gives it a business value of Rs 5,14,600 crore.

Vedanta Group Places Sixth

The Agarwals who have Vedanta as their business place sixth on the list with a value of Rs 4,45,500 crore.

Vedanta is a conglomerate with investments in natural resource and industry businesses which makes Agarwals one of the most prominent business groups of India.

The Murugappa group places seventh with a value of Rs 3,06,000 crore. Their business includes finance, automotive and other industries.

Nadar and Premji Groups Make The List

The Nadar group of HCL Technologies places eighth with a value of Rs 2,91,300 crore.

The Premji group of Wipro places ninth on the list with a value of Rs 2,72,300 crore.

Dani, Choksi and Vakil groups of Asian Paints complete the top 10 with a value of Rs 2,48,200 crore.
