India Sets Three Guinness World Records™ Under “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan”

The Union Health Ministry has achieved an extraordinary feat by securing three Guinness World Records™ titles under the nationwide “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA)” campaign. This achievement reflects India’s leadership in preventive, digital, and women-centric healthcare, ensuring that every woman’s health is a priority in building a stronger nation.

The Three Guinness World Records Titles

  1. Most people to register for a health care platform in one month: 3,21,49,711 (Over 3.21 crore)
  2. Most people to sign up for a breast cancer screening online in one week: 9,94,349 (Over 9.94 lakh)
  3. Most people to sign up for vital signs screening online in one week (at state level):  1,25,406 (Over 1.25 lakh)

These records underscore India’s large-scale community participation and commitment to preventive health awareness.

Nationwide Campaign Overview

The campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from 17th September to 2nd October 2025, coinciding with Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month).

The Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan focuses on:

  • Improving the health and nutrition of women, adolescent girls, and children
  • Promoting early detection of diseases
  • Ensuring access to essential health services
  • Empowering families through awareness and healthier lifestyles

PM Modi emphasized that “if a mother is healthy, the entire family stays healthy”, highlighting the government’s commitment to women’s well-being as the foundation of Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

Record-Breaking Participation

The campaign achieved unprecedented national participation:

  • 19.7 lakh health camps organized across India
  • 11 crore+ footfalls recorded across various healthcare platforms
  • 20+ ministries and departments actively involved
  • Collaboration with medical colleges, private institutions, MPs, MLAs, and local bodies

This “Whole-of-Government” and “Whole-of-Society” approach turned the campaign into one of the largest community health initiatives in the world.

Community engagement included:

  • 5 lakh Panchayati Raj representatives
  • 1.14 crore students
  • 94 lakh Self-Help Group (SHG) members
  • 5 lakh community organization members

Health Outcomes of the Campaign

Under this nationwide drive, several major health milestones were achieved:

  • 1.78 crore hypertension screenings
  • 1.73 crore diabetes screenings
  • 69.5 lakh oral cancer screenings
  • 62.6 lakh antenatal care check-ups
  • 1.43 crore vaccination doses administered
  • 1.51 crore anaemia tests conducted
  • 85.9 lakh women screened for tuberculosis (TB)
  • 10.2 lakh screened for sickle cell disease
  • 2.14 crore individuals participated in counselling and wellness sessions
  • 2.68 lakh Nikshay Mitra volunteers registered
