India Wins 11 Medals at World Boxing Cup 2025

World Boxing Cup in Astana, Kazakhstan, Indian women boxers Sakshi, Jaismine, and Nupur won gold medals in their respective weight categories. Sakshi defeated Yosline Perez from the USA with a unanimous decision from the judges. Jaismine kept her calm and won against Jucielen Cequeira Romeu from Brazil with a 4:1 score. Nupur showed great power and confidence as she beat Yeldana Talipova of Kazakhstan by a 5:0 score.

The Indian boxing team finished with a total of 11 medals — 3 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze — making it their highest medal count in the history of the World Boxing Cup. Earlier, in the first leg in Brazil, India had won 6 medals, including one gold and one silver. The performance in Astana marks a big improvement and shows how India is rising in world boxing.
