Indian umpire Nitin Menon has been inducted into International Cricket Council’s Elite Panel of Umpires. He has been inducted into the Elite Panel for the upcoming 2020-21 season. He has replaced England’s umpire Nigel Llong. Nitin Menon was earlier a part of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Umpires. He has an experience of officiating in three Tests, 24 One Day Internationals and 16 T20 Internationals.

Nitin Menon is the third Indian to make it to the prestigious panel after former captain Srinivas Venkatraghavan and Sundaram Ravi. Nitin Menon has been inducted by the selection panel comprising of ICC General Manager (Cricket) Geoff Allardice (Chairman), Indian commentator Sanjay Manjrekar, and match referees Ranjan Madugalle and David Boon.
