The final match of IPL 2023, initially scheduled for May 28th, between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, had to be rescheduled to May 29th due to inclement weather conditions, particularly heavy rain. The IPL 2023 Final Match is going to be held in the home ground of GT in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Chennai Super Kings is in the finals for the 10th season and GT is in the finals for the 2nd time. GT and CSK have been head-to-head contender in the IPL 2023 and has constantly targeted first place in the IPL Points Table 2023.

IPL 2023 Schedule
The BCCI released the schedule for IPL 2023 on Friday (February 17), which will be the tournament’s 16th edition. Beginning on March 31, 2023, defending champions Gujarat Titans will face Chennai Super Kings, the four-time winners, in the opener at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
The season will feature 10 teams and follow the same format as the previous year, with each side playing 14 league games (7 at home and 7 away). The top 4 teams from the standings will progress to the playoffs, and while the dates for these games have not yet been announced, the finals will take place on May 28th, 2023, after the league stage concludes on May 21st.
There will be a total of 74 matches in the IPL, comprising 70 league games and 4 playoff matches. This season, 18 double headers are scheduled, with the afternoon game at 3.30 PM IST and the evening match at 7.30 PM IST.
For the first time since 2019, the stadiums will have full occupancy, and fixtures will take place throughout India. Punjab Kings will play their first five home games in Mohali before moving to Dharamshala for the remaining two, whereas Rajasthan Royals will start with two home games in Guwahati before returning to Jaipur for their subsequent games.

The upcoming IPL 2023 Schedule Session will feature 70 league games, including 18 double-header matches. Each team will play seven home and away games, with Rajasthan Royals starting their two home fixtures in Guwahati before moving to Jaipur, and Punjab Kings hosting their first five games in Mohali before two home matches in Dharamshala.

- The ten IPL franchises have made some shrewd moves in preparation for the upcoming 2023 season. Some teams went all out in the auction, with Sam Curran becoming the most expensive player in IPL history after being bought by Punjab Kings for ₹18.50 crores.
- Other high-value purchases include Cameron Green by Mumbai Indians and CSK’s acquisition of Ben Stokes for ₹17.50 crores and ₹16.25 crores, respectively. Lucknow Super Giants acquired Nicholas Pooran for ₹16 crores, while Harry Brook will represent Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹13.25 crores.
