In many cities around the world, roundabouts play a key role in managing traffic and improving road safety. Some of these roundabouts are not only functional but also stand out due to their size, design and importance. One such roundabout in India has gained attention for being the largest in Asia. This landmark is a symbol of modern city planning and efficient traffic management in the region.

Importance of Roundabouts

Roundabouts are important for improving traffic flow and reducing accidents. Unlike traditional intersections, roundabouts keep traffic moving smoothly without the need for traffic lights. They help lower the chances of high-speed crashes and improve road safety. Roundabouts also reduce delays and fuel consumption by allowing vehicles to keep moving, which makes them more efficient. They are often designed with landscaping, making them both functional and visually appealing.
