This state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated on January 1, 2024, signifies goodwill and friendship while addressing challenges in India’s animal welfare sector.

Aims and Impact

The Maitri initiative, driven by collaboration between the local community and CUPA, strives to manage stray cat populations and tackle the One Health challenge of overpopulation. CUPA’s successful community enablement model for cat ABC has already sterilized over 5000 community cats since 2018. Murty Trust aims to amplify this impact by providing crucial resources, enabling the scaling of efforts in community-cat population control.
