In this article, we will delve into the list of Cabinet Ministers in India for 2023 and highlight their respective ministries and areas of expertise.

How many Cabinet Ministers are there in India?

The Union Council of Ministers is the supreme decision-making body in India. It is headed by the Prime Minister and consists of the heads of each of the executive government ministries. Currently, the council is headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and consists of 28 members, including the Prime Minister.

The total number of ministers in the Council of Ministers is subject to the Constitution of India. Article 75 of the Constitution states that the number of ministers, including the Prime Minister, shall not exceed 15% of the total number of members of the Lok Sabha. The current strength of the Lok Sabha is 543 members, so the maximum number of ministers in the Council of Ministers is 81.
