The Gujarat State Police has traced 1,470 missing persons during a month long statewide campaign called Operation Milap. It was launched on 7th of May, 2026 and the special drive focused on locating missing individuals, reuniting the with their families and strengthen the public trust in law enforcement. Police officials has noted that the adolescent girls who aged between 14-17 years were among the most vulnerable groups.
