Renowned ceramic artist, Jyotsna Bhatt passed away. She was born in Kutch in 1940, and she shifted to Mumbai to join the J.J. School of Arts. She was an Indian ceramist and potter. She as a key contributor to the field of contemporary ceramics in India.

Jyotsna studied and later taught at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda for forty years. Apart from ceramics, she also experimented with stoneware and terracotta. Initial testing has proved that the device at its full operation can disinfect a 10×10 squared feet room in about 15 minutes.
