Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-day visit from September 13–15, 2025, covering Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar. During this tour, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹71,000 crore, spanning railways, roadways, energy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure. The projects highlight the government’s push for regional connectivity, industrial growth, and inclusive development.
Mizoram: Historic Railway Connectivity
On September 13, PM Modi will reach Aizawl, Mizoram, to dedicate and launch projects worth ₹9,000 crore.
Key Projects
Bairabi–Sairang New Rail Line (₹8,070 crore): Connects Mizoram’s capital Aizawl to the Indian Railways network for the first time.

- Sairang–Guwahati Express
- Sairang–Kolkata Express
- Other launches: Aizawl Bypass Road, LPG bottling plant at Mualkhang, Khelo India Multipurpose Indoor Hall, and new residential schools.
This makes Aizawl the 4th northeastern capital (after Guwahati, Agartala, and Itanagar) to join the railway network.
Manipur: Infrastructure and IT Push
In Churachandpur, PM Modi will lay foundations for projects worth ₹7,300 crore, including,

In Imphal, he will inaugurate projects worth ₹1,200 crore, such as,

On September 14, PM Modi will launch projects worth ₹18,530 crore in Assam.

On September 15, PM Modi will inaugurate the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference in Kolkata.
