Ravindra Jadeja Retires From T20 Internationals

Star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has announced his decision to retire from T20 internationals following India’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph. Ravindra Jadeja has called it quits from T20 internationals, bowing out on a high with the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy.

Retirement Announcement

Following  India’s victory over South Africa by seven runs  in the final at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, Jadeja announced his retirement from T20Is through an Instagram post. His decision followed similar announcements from captain Rohit Sharma and veteran cricketer Virat Kohli, who also decided to step away from the shortest format of the game. Jadeja’s contribution to  Indian cricket has been immense, with his all-round abilities often turning the tide  in  India’s favour. His retirement marks the end of an era, and he leaves behind a legacy of remarkable performances and memorable moments on the field.

T20 World Cup 2024

In the T20 World Cup 2024, Jadeja’s campaign was a mix of highs and lows. Although he managed just one wicket from seven innings at an economy of 7.57 and an average of 106, he showed his mettle with the bat  in crucial matches. He played handy knocks of 9* off 5 balls against Australia and 17* off 9 balls in the semifinal against England.
