India has started the new Cell Broadcast Alert System to quickly warn the people during the natural disasters period. Earlier in the day on 2nd of May, 2026 many citizens in India have received the flash message around the 11:42 AM and this message was part of the nationwide trial by NDMA. The message has clearly mentioned that this is just a trial and there is no action required for circulation of this message. This alert system is aims to improve the country’s ability to send the instant and location based alerts at the time of the emergency like earthquakes, floods and cyclones.
