India will see its maiden blue bond issue as Sagarmala Finance Corporation seeks to raise funds via a 10-year bond issuance scheduled to be held on September 28, 2026. The maritime bank seeks to raise ₹600 crore in funds, ₹500 crore from greenshoe option, per provisional term sheet issued by the organization. The fund-raising will seek to finance projects within the maritime sector including greenfield port facilities and coastal road networks. The move signals a new financing avenue for water-linked infrastructure projects in India.
