Rani Rampal, a prominent player on the Indian hockey team, has achieved a significant milestone as the first woman in the sport to have a stadium named after her. The MCF Rae Bareli has renamed the hockey stadium to ‘Rani’s Girls Hockey Turf’ in her honor.

Rani Rampal: Indian Women hockey team:
Earlier this year, Rani Rampal made a successful comeback to the Indian hockey team during the tour of South Africa, where she was selected as one of the 22 players in the squad.
Prior to this, she had last played for India in the FIH Women’s Hockey Pro League 2021-22 against Belgium, where she earned her 250th cap.
After struggling with injuries since the Tokyo Olympics, the 28-year-old player was left out of both the 2022 World Cup and Commonwealth Games squads. However, she is now making a return to international hockey and has been included in the 22-member squad.
