Vishwas Swaroopam, famously recognized as the “Statue of Belief,” is an important embodiment of devotion and spirituality located in the heart of Nathdwara, Rajasthan. This immense tribute to Lord Shiva has not only attracted religious devotees but also visitors from all corners of the globe. On 29th October 2022, it achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the world’s tallest Shiva statue, marking a monumental milestone in the realm of faith and artistic expression.

History and Construction

The journey to Vishwas Swaroopam’s remarkable height of 369 feet is a tale of ambition and devotion. Initially planned to stand at 251 feet, the statue’s construction began on 18th August 2012. However, during its construction, its height was raised to 351 feet and ultimately, it reached its aweinspiring height of 369 feet. This towering masterpiece was constructed over ten years, with 750 dedicated workers tirelessly crafting this icon of Lord Shiva.

Architectural Marvel

The Status of Belief is not just a mere statue but an architectural marvel.  Designed by Studio Mautram Art, this statue exhibits a stunning depiction of Lord Shiva in a meditative posture. It is crafted with 3000 tonnes of steel and iron and reinforced with 2.5 lakh cubic tonnes of concrete and sand. The structural design was the work of Skeleton Consultants. It is built to withstand extreme conditions, with the ability to endure winds of up to 250 km/h.

Features and Attractions of Status of Belief

Vishwas Swaroopam offers more than just its towering presence. Visitors can explore a range of attractions at the site, including a welcoming gate, a colossal Nandi Ji statue, Charan Vandna, a viewing gallery at 280 feet, a glass bridge at 280 feet, a top view at 270 feet, the Jal Abhishaikh, a musical fountain, Harihar Setu and an amphitheater. These features add depth to the spiritual experience for visitors.

To plan your visit to the Status of Belief, here are the visiting hours:

  • Morning: 5:00 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Evening: 3:00 PM to 08:30 PM

Ticket Prices (for Indian and Foreign Citizens)

For visitors below 12 years old:

  • Entry fees: Rs.100 (Indian), Rs.150 (Foreign)
  • Entry fee + 280 ft. + 270 ft. + Glass Bridge: Rs.200 (Indian), Rs.250 (Foreign)
  • Entry fee + 280 ft. + 270 ft. + Glass Bridge + Jalabhishek: Rs.750 (Indian), Rs.1000 (Foreign)

For visitors above 12 years old:

  • Entry fee: Rs.200 (Indian), Rs.300 (Foreign)
  • Entry fee + 280 ft. + 270 ft. + Glass Bridge: Rs.400 (Indian), Rs.500 (Foreign)
  • Entry fee + 280 ft. + 270 ft. + Glass Bridge + Jalabhishek: Rs.1500 (Indian), Rs.2000 (Foreign)

How to reach the Statue of Belief

  • By Road: The Statue of Belief is about 45 kilometers from Udaipur and 350 kilometers from Jaipur.
  • By Train: The nearest railway stations are Malvi Junction (30 km) and Udaipur railway station (45 km).
  • By Air: The nearest airport is Udaipur, which is approximately 57 kilometers from the Status of Brief.
