TVS Motor Company acquires sporting Motorcycle brand ‘Norton’

TVS Motor Company‘s overseas subsidiary TVS Motor Singapore Pte. Ltd has acquired the United Kingdom’s most iconic sporting motorcycle brand ‘Norton’. The iconic sporting motorcycle brand was acquired in an all-cash transaction of £16 million. As a part of deal, TVS Motor Singapore Pte. Ltd has signed an asset purchase agreement with Norton Motorcycles Holdings Ltd and Norton Motorcycles (UK) Ltd.

Norton, a 122 year-old motorcycle company was founded by James Lansdowne Norton in Birmingham and went on to become the most popular British motorcycle brands of all time. Norton has a popular series of bikes sold under Commando and Dominator names.
