India’s 14-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered another jaw-dropping performance as he hammered a scintillating 171 off 95 balls in the opening match of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 against the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The match, played at the ICC Academy Ground, Dubai, saw Suryavanshi dominate from the start, showcasing his extraordinary form and cementing his position as India’s next big cricketing superstar.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Blistering Knock: A Century in Just 56 Balls
The young left-hander began cautiously, getting off the mark only on his sixth delivery. But once he settled, he unleashed a breathtaking display of stroke-making:
- Half-century: In 30 balls (with a massive six off Ahmed Khudadad)
- Century: In 56 balls
- Total: 171 off 95 balls
- Boundaries: 9 fours and 14 sixes
Suryavanshi received a reprieve at 85 when he was dropped at long-off, and he made UAE pay heavily by powering India to a dominant position. He was eventually bowled while attempting a scoop, narrowly missing out on what could have been his first Youth ODI double century.
